I’ve been painting on and off for about 40 years. Due to running a website offering free photos for artists I found I had little or no time to paint. With the recession biting hard I’ve eased up on photo taking and started to paint again. I’ve always preferred a looser style of painting and with eyesight that’s suffering a bit of a decline have had to stop painting any detail anyway. I’ve also started to paint my own photos. I’ve sold a fair few paintings over the years and intend to keep doing so.
