Caroline graduated from Liverpool Polytechnic (since renamed The John Moores University) in 1986 with a degree in Fine Art. Originally, she combined a career in part time teaching with part time painting. Caroline is now Head of Art at a sixth form college and has recently resumed painting after 'discovering' the joys of watercolour! She is interested in exploring colour and texture and experimenting with multiple viewpoints. Caroline only recently embraced watercolours as a medium and finds them completely different and more challenging to use than acrylics or oils.
Caroline has also recently had recognition for her work:

A Note From Caroline
"I have found that I am able to have what film director David Lynch (also an artist) calls a ‘set up’ at home where I can paint for a few minutes if that’s all the time I have, or hours if I’m lucky! (He’s right, you have to have a ‘set up’!) I’m interested in exploring vibrant colours and textures, and as I haven’t learned all of the traditional rules of watercolour, I don’t feel bound by them. Going back to smaller scale still life work has also really worked for me and I have found the unique qualities of watercolour to be quite magical."
